Website and WhatsApp flow

The trial form processes the entered values locally in your browser to prepare a plain-text WhatsApp message. The Salaam Center website does not submit or store the trial-form information through a website backend, and browser storage is not used to retain trial-form personal information.

The prepared message remains local until you deliberately choose to open WhatsApp. Opening WhatsApp makes the prepared text available to WhatsApp for review. Information reaches Salaam Center only if you then deliberately press Send inside WhatsApp. The website does not send the message automatically and cannot know whether Send was pressed.

WhatsApp is a third-party service operated separately from Salaam Center. It applies its own privacy and retention practices to its service, account, device, communication and technical information. Review the prepared message before sending and consult WhatsApp’s own privacy information where needed.

Information and purposes

The form is limited to an adult contact role and name, country or time zone, learner age group, selected program, preferred frequency and schedule, and an optional learning goal. It does not ask for the learner’s name.

If you send the message, Salaam Center may use the information to answer the enquiry, discuss eligibility, arrange and confirm a trial, consider teacher and schedule availability, explain plans, manage enrolment and lessons, communicate about the teaching relationship, meet applicable legal obligations, and handle questions or disputes.

Learners under 18 and sensitive information

A parent or guardian must be the contact person for a learner under 18 and should review the message before sending. Children should not provide their own contact details or contact teachers privately.

Do not send medical information, financial information, identification documents or numbers, passwords, or other highly sensitive information through the trial form or an initial WhatsApp message.

Website services and video samples

• No analytics are used.
• No advertising pixels are active.
• No online payment collection is active on this website.

Pages with video samples use YouTube-hosted thumbnails. A privacy-enhanced YouTube player is created only after you choose to play a video. Video playback remains user activated, and the video provider then operates as a separate third-party service.

Retention

Salaam Center keeps information only as long as reasonably needed for the enquiry, enrolment, teaching relationship, applicable legal obligations or dispute handling. The appropriate period depends on the context and the continuing relationship. WhatsApp applies its own separate retention practices.

Privacy requests

You may contact Salaam Center through WhatsApp regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or another applicable privacy request. A request may require reasonable identity verification so that information is not disclosed or changed for the wrong person. Do not send an identification document in the initial request; Salaam Center will explain any proportionate verification that is reasonably needed.

Privacy rights depend on the applicable law and circumstances. You may also contact the competent data-protection authority where that right applies.
